What is a Business Operating System?
A Business Operating System is not another dashboard on top of your existing tools. It is the single substrate on which every department — CRM, Finance, HR, Operations, Legal, Strategy — runs natively. Data doesn't sync between systems because there is only one system.
Unlike horizontal productivity tools, a Business OS enforces governance at the infrastructure layer. Every mutation is a workflow execution. Every workflow generates an immutable receipt. Workflow Engine
All mutations flow through the workflow engine. No direct database writes. Every execution is recorded with metadata, cost impact, and actor identity.
Governance Layer
RBAC and ABAC policies evaluate every request. Separation of duties is enforced. Risk scoring determines approval routing — auto-execute, single-approver, or multi-party.
AI Planning
AI ingests cross-module context, generates execution plans with confidence scores, and routes them through governance. Plans are transparent — you see every step before approval.
Audit Chain
Every executed workflow generates a hash-chained audit event with before/after snapshots. The chain is append-only, tamper-evident, and exportable for regulatory review.
