Authenticated users only
Every email address is linked to a verified StudAI BOS user account. Unregistered addresses receive no data.
Signed, verifiable messages
Outbound mail is sent over authenticated SMTP with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment. Replies are matched to short-lived, single-use action tokens.
Two-tier approval
Regular-risk actions can be approved directly by replying to the email. High-risk actions (large expenses, contract approvals, policy changes) require clicking a unique, time-limited browser link for confirmation — adding a second factor of intent verification.
Full audit trail
Every email-initiated action is logged with the same hash-chained audit trail as browser actions. The channel of execution is recorded in every audit entry.

Google compliance
Built on the official Gmail API
StudAI BOS connects to Gmail through Google's official Gmail API with OAuth 2.0. We adhere fully to Google's API Services User Data Policy on scopes, consent, and user privacy.
Least-privilege scopes
We request only the Gmail scopes needed to send notifications and read replies tied to BOS actions. We never request access beyond what the feature requires.
Consent-based connection
Users must explicitly authorize Gmail access through Google's OAuth consent screen. Access can be revoked at any time from user settings or the Google Account dashboard.
No spam, ever
We never send marketing or promotional email through your account. Every message is a direct response to a user action or a system event the user subscribed to.
Opt-out support
Users can disable Gmail notifications at any time. The system respects opt-out immediately and falls back to in-app notifications.
